# Affnet — self-operated web CPA/CPL performance network
> Server-to-server postback tracking with prepaid USD advertiser funding.

## What Affnet is
Affnet is a self-operated network between advertisers, who fund CPA/CPL offers in advance, and KYC-verified affiliates (publishers). Accounts are created by the network (invite-only).

## How it works
1. A click is received at https://affnet.net/api/click. The endpoint issues a click_id, substitutes macro tokens and redirects the visitor to the advertiser landing page.
2. The advertiser backend reports the final event with a signed postback to https://affnet.net/api/postback/v2.
3. On a payable decision the advertiser prepaid balance is debited atomically and balanced ledger entries are written. The advertiser cannot cancel a final conversion; only an audited administrator correction can create a compensating entry.

## Postback protocol (v2)
- POST with a raw JSON body of at most 16 KiB and fields click_id (UUID), nonce, ts (Unix seconds, within 300 seconds of server time) and event.
- Header X-Postback-Signature: lowercase hex HMAC-SHA256 of the raw body bytes, keyed with the advertiser credential.
- event is qualified_lead (CPL) or approved_sale (CPA) and must match the final event sealed on the offer version.
- The first decision for a click is permanent.

## Money
- Advertiser funding: prepaid USD.
- Affiliate payouts: USD accounting, paid by bank transfer or by administrator-enabled USDT/USDC. The settlement cycle is configured per offer.
- Affiliate hierarchy: up to 8 levels; a child's cumulative entitlement never exceeds its parent's.
